Retreat on a catamaran in Greece: how the week works

A retreat week on a catamaran is a week in which you organise nothing. You wake up on the water, swim, paddle or read. Every evening the boat lies somewhere new – without you packing a bag. Your cruising ground in autumn 2026: the Saronic Gulf, right off Athens. Aegina, Poros and Hydra are only a few hours apart. The air and water are still mild then, and the bays are almost yours alone.

In the morning the group meets for the shared session, then it's anchor up or lines off – usually for just a few hours. In the afternoon the boat lies in a bay: swim, read, go ashore or do nothing. In the evening the group looks back on the day.

What shapes the week is the programme: breathwork, qi gong, hypnosis coaching or one-to-one sessions, depending on who leads it. Around it, the boat: a Lagoon 50 catamaran, six to eight guests, plus the hostess who looks after you on board and Ruedi, your captain. He sails the boat himself, as an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, and after 20 years in hospitality he is also your host.

You don't need to know how to sail. You cruise in sheltered waters, and a catamaran hardly heels. You come on your own or as a pair. You share a cabin with another guest – who with whom, you decide together on the first evening – or you take it for yourself. The price: EUR 2,940 per person and week in a shared cabin, everything on board included – full board, fuel, harbour fees, nothing to pay on board. A cabin to yourself costs EUR 900 more. Travel to Athens, trips ashore and travel insurance are yours.

Your place is firm as soon as the deposit of 50 per cent is in. It sits in a separate account until the group is complete. At the latest 11 days before departure you'll know; if the group doesn't come together, you get everything back. Book your flight only after the written confirmation.
