Who leads the week
Breathwork and yoga

A week of breathwork and yoga: in the morning the breathing exercise on deck, in the evening a shared circle once the boat lies at anchor. Who leads the programme, Ruedi will tell you personally.
Languages: German and English
Why a boat
A group that moves

A retreat on land is a house a group lives in. A boat is a group that moves. There is no evening entertainment and no everyday life knocking at the door. Whoever is on board is there for a week — that brings a group together faster than any intention.
The surroundings still change every day without anyone packing. Each evening the boat lies somewhere else.
In late autumn, air and water are still mild, but the bays are empty. For a retreat, that is not the off-season but the better season.
The week
A week that takes you inward

Every day breathwork and yoga, on deck in the morning and in the evening, once the boat lies at anchor. In between, the day belongs to you and the water.
How you can shape your day
The morning begins the way you feel it: wake your body and mind with a lap round the boat, watch the sunrise light up the day, paddle to the beach on a SUP or simply enjoy the peace and quiet on board as the day wakes up – you follow what feels right.
The group comes together for the breathing exercise, followed by a generous breakfast. Later it is anchor up or lines off, and the boat glides across the water – pure freedom.
Lying in the sun, reading a book, watching the waves: you do exactly what you feel like.
By early afternoon the boat usually lies in a bay again. You swim or simply do nothing. Excursions ashore are expressly welcome, because there is usually something special to discover. You arrange them with the programme partner; costs such as a hire car are yours.
When the sun stands low, the group comes together once more. You look back on the day and at what it has stirred in you. Then you eat together.
What applies this week
This week is alcohol-free, from the first day to the last: breathwork and alcohol do not go together. On board the hostess cooks vegetarian; on the evenings ashore you eat whatever you like.
The boat
Room for the group and room for you

Example of this type.
The boat planned is a Lagoon 50.
A catamaran of around fifty feet: saloon and cockpit lie on one level, the nets wait at the bow, and up top the flybridge has a view all round. So even in a group that shares a lot, you always find a place of your own.
On your own or shared
You share a cabin with another guest, always with a guest of the same gender; couples stay together. Ruedi plans the bookings so that it works out; who shares with whom, you decide together on the first evening on board. If that leaves you alone in a cabin without asking, you pay no supplement. If you want the cabin to yourself for certain, you pay a supplement of EUR 900.
Who sails the boat
Ruedi Hintermann

Ruedi sails the boat himself, with the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore qualification and several thousand nautical miles of experience as captain on deliveries, on the open sea and with guests on board. His responsibility is your safety and your well-being; every day in the briefing he tells you where the boat is heading. If it interests you, he will show you the basics of sailing and life on board.
20 years in the hotel business make him the host of the week, together with the hostess who looks after you on board.
For me, the sea means absolute freedom.
The route
Saronic Gulf, out of Athens
Aegina, Poros, Hydra and the bays in between. The route is a proposal; it is decided day by day by weather, sea state and safety.
If a storm comes up, the boat waits it out sheltered in a marina. Your programme carries on all the same, because it needs no island, only the group and you.
-
Saturday
Boarding at Alimos Marina
You come aboard in the afternoon, then the briefing on the vessel and on safety. If there is time, the boat spends the first night already out off Aegina.
-
Sunday
Aegina Town
Neoclassical façades along the harbour, pistachios in every form, and above the bay the lone column of the temple of Apollo. This close to Athens and already a holiday.
-
Monday
Poros
The town climbs the hill, and the bell tower at the top is the evening walk. Alongside the quay you lie in the middle of things — this is the evening ashore.
-
Tuesday
Hydra
No cars, only donkeys and stone stairs; the harbour a half-circle of captains' houses. The boat anchors outside, and you go in by dinghy.
-
Wednesday
Moni, off Perdika
An uninhabited island with peacocks and wild goats, the water glass-clear over pale ground. Opposite lies Perdika, whose tavernas serve the catch of the day.
-
Thursday
Agistri
Pines down to the water, turquoise bays, no traffic. A last swim at anchor before the way back on Friday.
-
Friday
Back to Athens
The way back in one piece; by the afternoon the boat lies at Alimos Marina again. The last evening on board belongs to the group.

Questions
What you may be asking yourself
- Will I get seasick?
- The boat sails only a few hours a day, in sheltered waters between the islands, and a catamaran hardly heels. If you are sensitive, stay on deck and look at the horizon; your body usually adjusts after a day or two. Tablets help if you take them before casting off. Seasickness can never be ruled out entirely.
- Which language is the week in?
- The sessions and the conversations on board are in German and English.
- Who else is on board?
- 6 to 8 guests, booked alone or as a pair, plus the programme partner, the hostess and Ruedi as captain. Retreat weeks of this kind are new — you are among the first.
- What if I have to cancel?
- The week is confirmed in writing as soon as 6 deposits have been received by the cut-off date of 27 October 2026. Until that confirmation you may withdraw at any time; your deposit is refunded less a handling fee of EUR 100. From the confirmation onwards, the boat and services are firmly booked; if you withdraw after that, you owe the full amount. Up to 3 days before departure you may name a replacement person; if they take over your place, the amount paid is refunded less a handling fee of EUR 100. If the group has not come together by the cut-off date, the week is cancelled and you get everything back without deduction.
- What should I bring?
- Little, and comfortable. Bed linen and towels are on board, and before departure you get a packing list and the rules on board.
- When is the right time to book my flight?
- Book your flight only once Ruedi confirms that the week is going ahead – by 27 October 2026 at the latest.
